US reduces fees on international designs
The Haague system which was established in order to allow international registration of designs founded more than 95 years ago and functioning ever since until today, has got an update – USA as its member state decided to reduce the fees paid by applicants who wish to designate US in their international design application.
The fee structure for US is as follows:
Small and Micro entities
As we may see in the structure table above, the small and micro business entities have even more favourable situation regarding registering their designs in the US now. New amount of fee paid by small entity is now only 273 SWF and for micro entity its 137 SWF.
Therefore we highly recommend to consider international design registration as the option to obtain international design registration are becoming more available to small and medium enterprises.
